We spend  valuable time seeking human validation  especially in this era of digital advancement and social-media propaganda when we should invest our time sufficiently exploring our inner-being to discover the potential within and the essence of our existence not in 'like me or I die' because the number of 'likes' you get does not define who you are.

It turns out that what is perceived as success is only a mirage or illusion designed to leave those who are enslaved by it rather unhappy. True happiness is the product of self-discovery.
